AJEDI Series: Heart2Heart Workshop

Workshop/Training

Heart2Heart (H2H) is a theoretically-grounded intervention developed by people of color for people of color. In this series, we will build a community of support as participants learn about intersectional identities, racial wellness, microaggressions, empowerment, and microinterventions. Over the course of 8 weeks, we will build a Wellness Toolbox together and practice mindfulness.

Lifeguard Review Course

Workshop/Training

10-hour course designed to review knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.  You must hold a current lifeguard certification to take this course. LGBT+ Support Group

Workshop/Training

LGBTQ+ Support Group is for students that identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and those that are questioning if they are a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Students are provided with the opportunity to get together in a safe environment where they can learn from, and support, each other. Each week, we will discuss important issues that LGBTQ+ individuals face with topics being chosen by those who wish to participate. This group will be co-facilitated by Jacob Cameron, a therapist from USU Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) and Erika-Danielle Lundström, the Gender and Sexuality Coordinator at the Inclusion Center. Lunch & Learn - Healthy Holiday Cooking Demo and Tasting

Workshop/Training

The holidays are a time for being together with family, having fun and often involve food! Holiday side dishes are just as important as the main dish, but they often lack fruits and vegetables to have a balanced meal. Join us for a cooking demo with Registered Dietitian, Brooke Lister and learn how to make two side dishes that will help you add color and texture to your meal by using vibrant, in season produce! Samples of the recipes will be available while supplies last and are provided by event sponsor, Dining Services. Demonstration will be in person only and a recording will be available afterward if you are unable to attend. Attendance and participation in this event qualify as an activity for the Be Well Rewards program.

American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning course helps participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies.
