Spring Break Moab Mountain Biking Trip
Recreation
We are heading down south to hike and bike the world renown desert red rock in the Moab area. We will spend the weekend exploring some of the amazing mountain biking trails while camping near Moab. Participants must be in good physical condition and prepared for moderate to strenuous biking in a desert environment. No prior experience necessary, beginners are most welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mountain bike (in good working condition) or a rental is available from the OP for no additional cost. Sizes and quantities are limited. Trip cost includes sales tax, mountain bike (if needed), food, transportation, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tent and student leadership.

Join Campus Recreation for our eSports RecKart Tournament (yes, we know that's not the game's name, but if you catch our drift you know what game we're talking about - red shells, cars, and all that good stuff) All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to come play! It's free so why not come and have some fun challenging your friends or other participants. Winners receive an IM Champ shirt! Life of a Latinx Leader

Join us for "Life of a Latinx Leader," a monthly event featuring informal talks by exceptional Latinx leaders. This month, Evelyn Porras, a teacher at Logan High School, will share their story about facing a traumatic injury, personal losses, and language barriers. 4th Annual Indigenous Knowledge Symposium

Join us for the 4th Annual Indigenous Knowledge Symposium. This year our topic is food sovereignty. Our speakers are Rose Bear Don't Walk, a doctoral student in Indigenous & Rural Health, Montana State University and Dr. Valarie Blue Bird Jernigan, Director of the Center for Indigenous Health and Policy, Oklahoma State University. Moab Wilderness First Responder Course

The Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course is the standard level of medical training for professional outdoor recreation industry field staff that work multi-day, overnight trips in remote environments, military, technical rescue personnel, and those working in disaster relief. The DMM comprehensive, contextual and practical curriculum has gained popularity among outdoor enthusiasts, endurance athletes, and adventure travelers who push their boundaries in remote areas with limited resources, unreliable communication, and the potential for delayed or self-rescue. Course participants will develop strong patient assessment skills, adopt treatment tools to stabilize life-threatening conditions, and learn how to provide extended patient care in austere environments. Most importantly, this training will prepare individuals to prevent many environmental illnesses and proactively manage pre-existing conditions in the field. Individuals will also develop the confidence to professionally call in a rescue in the event of a backcountry emergency and manage the evacuation of a medical or trauma patient. Intramural Cornhole Tournament

Join us for our lively and competitive Intramural Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, March 23rd from 10 am to noon! Whether you're a seasoned cornhole pro or a beginner looking to try your hand at this classic backyard game, this event is open to all skill levels. Bring your A-game and compete for the title of cornhole champion as you toss those bean bags with precision and aim for the coveted prize, the Intramural Champ shirt! Registration runs from March 4th to the 18th. It's free with an IM membership or $15 with the single sports pass. Register your team on the Fusion Play app.
Women's Adventure Tour Film Screening

Join us on Saturday, March 23rd at 7pm for a screening of The Women’s Adventure Film Tour as it's back with its highly anticipated 8th season. It'll be held in HPER 102 - note please enter through the side doors in between the HPER and ARC as main doors will be locked. The event is free for USU students and just $10 for community members (pay at the door). We will also be having great raffle prizes!! It features an exhilarating selection of 8 new short films that showcase the inspiring journeys of remarkable women who have fearlessly pursued adventure in various fields. The Women’s Adventure Film Tour has been celebrated for its unique approach to showcasing women achieving their adventurous goals. Unlike traditional adventure films focusing solely on extreme feats, this tour aims to inspire everyone to step outside their comfort zone and challenge their boundaries – their personal Everest. It's a celebration of bravery, perseverance, and the indomitable spirit within us.
