A tried and true technique to experience fascia and connective tissue release, Yin yoga is also an excellent practice for beginners because it offers plenty of time to uncover the unique benefits of individual poses without worrying about tricky transitions.

Washington State University Extension Sustainability Speaker Series
Panel Discussion/Presentation
Every day, we consume resources from the earth in the form of water, food, fiber, energy, and other resources. We are doing this at an unsustainable rate that will affect future generations and all life on earth. This rampant resource use is especially problematic in the United States. In this webinar, we review how ecological footprints are measured and the problems created by excessive resource use. We will present solutions to increase sustainability with examples from “Green Marketing.” Helping consumers “Go Green” through social influence and message framing at large scales can help shrink our ecological footprints and encourage us to adopt more responsible and environmentally friendly practices.

William Johnson studied landscape architecture at Michigan State University and graduated in 1953. Following his military service, he completed an M.L.A. at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. A professor of landscape architecture beginning in 1958, he served as dean of the School of Natural Resources at the University of Michigan from 1975 to 1983, and became Professor Emeritus in 1988. Johnson’s practice focused on campus, resort, and community planning, as well as parks and recreation projects. Mindful movement helps us limber up for activities or recover afterwards, improve balance, increase flexibility, and help relieve joint and muscle pain. Mindful movement mentally connects us to our physical movements, resulting in improved stability, mobility and strength, and helping you become calmer, more confident, more comfortable, more peaceful.
