Entrepreneur Leadership Series: Jeremy and Kaitlyn Carlson

Panel Discussion/Presentation

Jeremy and Kaitlyn Carlson are the owners of the revolutionary ice cream shop, Crispy Cones. Jeremy grew up as a military brat, living in over 8 different states/countries. He founded his company after serving a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Czech Republic. While there, he was in awe of the unique European pastries and felt inspired to bring something similar to the United States. He returned from his mission and founded Crispy Cones in May of 2018 in a tent, proving that you can start a business from nothing and turn it into something amazing.

Jeremy and Kaitlyn met at the beginning of Crispy Cones' journey when he hired her to work for him as their social media manager. Kaitlyn is from Star Valley, Wyoming and graduated from BYU-Idaho with a bachelors in Public Relations. While in college, she ran a successful wedding photography business for 6 years which gave her experience that Jeremy wanted to have on his team.

The couple quickly became best friends which led to marriage in December of 2020. Since then, Jeremy and Kaitlyn have grown Crispy Cones to 7 locations across Idaho, Utah, and Arizona and have appeared on the hit television show, Shark Tank where they partnered with business icon, Barbara Corcoran! The Carlson's currently reside in Saint Anthony, Idaho with their daughter, Maci and their dog, Penny.
