Bear Lake Project & Annual Graduate Exhibition

Exhibition

The Bear Lake Needs Assessment Documentation & Visualization Project, led by assistant professor Jared Ragland and USU photography students, captures the intersection of Bear Lake's natural ecology and human use through documentary photography. This collaborative project showcases research-driven imagery on key topics such as agriculture, water management, and development, while highlighting the vital work of USU researchers and local community partnerships. The exhibition will be featured at the Tippets and Eccles Gallery and in USU’s Special Collections and Archives. This work was created in partnership with USU’s Institute for Land, Water, and Air and funded by a Bear Lake Needs Assessment grant administered by Utah Forestry, Fire, and State Lands.

The USU Art + Design Annual Graduate Art Exhibition showcases emerging artists' innovative and diverse works across various disciplines. Each work reflects the unique vision and creative journey of the graduates, offering a compelling exploration of contemporary themes and artistic practices.

These exhibitions run Nov. 4–Dec. 13 in the Tippetts & Eccles Galleries, open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Contrapower Harassment in Higher Education

Workshop/Training

This hour-long workshop will explore the concept of contrapower harassment, where individuals with less institutional power (such as students) harass those with more authority (such as faculty or staff). Participants will learn about the dynamics of contrapower harassment, its impact on college and university environments, and strategies for responding to and preventing these behaviors.

Community Rakes & Shovels--Raking Session

Special Event

Volunteer your time and muscle once, twice, or many times over the coming months! Upon registering, volunteers will be matched with a resident who has requested services. Provide free leaf-raking services for senior citizens and community members with disabilities. Register yourself, your roommates/household, or your organization to be volunteers! The COSAS has rakes for check out in TSC 316A.

Volunteers will be helping to sort clothing by type and size, and also selecting items for future clothing swaps and pop-up shops at the True Blue Reuse & Repair storage trailer. The trailer is located behind the Student Living Center Dorms, just east of Summit Hall.

Cache Symphony Orchestra

The Cache Symphony Orchestra was created over 35 years ago as a way for community members in the Cache Valley region to make music, meet with fellow musicians, and provide another source of fine classical music to the community.

The Orchestra is made up of community volunteers. It started with only a handful of musicians and has grown to a grand symphony with over 90 members. For the regular season, the orchestra performs on the campus of Utah State University twice a year: winter and spring.
