Butchering Day

Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day!
USUSA Blanding invites you to join us for our annual sheep butchering event, Monday October 9th, beginning at 7:30am. Following, a sheep luncheon around 12noon. Lunch is first come, first served, so be ready.
If any of you are willing and or wanting to observe, learn or even help, please join us at the pavilion! Your presence will be very much welcomed!

Life of a Latinx Leader

The LCC is excited to host a variety of events that will help everyone at USU get to know their Latinx faculty, administrators, and staff better. These events will help foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Latinx community within our university.
Ghost Tours
Student Activities
Meet in the Museum of Anthropology (OM 252) to take ghost tours of Old Main and Ray B. West. Hear about the legends associated with these buildings, then return to the museum for cookies and a discussion on the anthropology and folklore of ghost stories!
Meet and Greet Victoria Petro, Salt Lake city Council Member and Vice Chair
Student Activities
Salt Lake City Council Member and Vice Chair, Victoria Petro, will be on campus to present GETTING CREATIVE ABOUT OUR DEMOCRACY: COMPOSING HARMONIOUS FUTURES, a discussion on public policy, community building, music, and culture. The Institute of Government and Politics has joined the LatinX Cultural Center to bring Victoria Petro to campus. This event is free and open to USU students, faculty and staff.

Lauren Bradshaw Balloon Commemoration
Student Activities
We want to invite students to commemorate Lauren’s unfortunate passing as it happens one year ago. We will commemorate her with little ribbons and release balloons to her, with the option for students to write a message on them.
USU-Campus-Wide Speed-Faithing (Let's Set a World Record!)

USU Interfaith Student Association aims to set the world record for the largest speed-faithing event ever held. This is a great way to discover the things you have in common with people of all different beliefs and traditions. Come to the TSC Ballroom to help us make history!

Uintah High School NHS Senior Lunch Discussion
Student Activities
Uintah High School's National Honor Society Seniors will enjoy a lunch discussion with USU Uintah Basin faculty and staff.
ASME Pumpkin Toss
Student Activities
**Team sign-up is open to the public**
Pumpkin Toss is a huge community event where teams build trebuchets and launch pumpkins across Elk Ridge Park! Build a trebuchet, or just come and watch!
The event starts at 11:00 a.m. on October 28th. There will be food trucks and booths from engineering clubs at Utah State! North Logan City will also be dropping a 300lb pumpkin onto a car from a crane!
Halloween Bike Ride
Student Activities
Join Backcountry Squatters and Aggie Blue Bikes on a fun Halloween-themed bike ride around Logan! This event is open to anyone and everyone in the Logan community. There will be a costume contest for participants with prizes for the winners! We will be meeting at 5:00 PM on October 30th in front of Aggie Blue Bikes and ending in downtown Logan. We look forward to seeing you there!
