Change the Game: An Aggie Approach to Transform Conflict Into Conversation

Prof. Irshad Manji and Gov. Spencer Cox will join USU President Cantwell for the first President's Forum on Conflict and Conflict Resolution. They will startwa conversation about how the Utah State community can “disagree better” and learn to have productive and meaningful conversations across ideological divides. Following the conversation, Prof. Manji will deliver a keynote presentation. Prof. Manji is the founder of the award-winning Moral Courage Project, which equips schools and businesses worldwide to turn heated issues into healthy relationships and innovative teamwork.

USU Rock-n-Fossil Day

Calling Rockhounds of All Ages! USU Department of Geosciences hosts its annual Rock-n-Fossil Day, featuring a gathering learning fun about rocks, fossils and minerals. View demonstrations, learn about varied rocks and fossils, enjoy hands-on geological activities, tour the USU Geology Museum, dig for fossils, and bring your own "mystery" rocks and fossils for identification by USU geologists. Admission is free. The event is held in the historic Geology Building, located on the northeast corner of the USU Quad in Logan. Ride the zero-fare Cache Valley Transit District bus to campus, including the convenient Green Loop Route bus, which has a stop at the southeast corner of the USU Quad.

Join the USU Center for Community Engagement as we discuss the role of nonprofits and our expectations of charitable giving. Free snacks and a short discussion after the film! About "UnCharitable": After three of the most dynamic and successful US charities were shut down by conservative charity watchdogs, destroying lives and cutting off precious resources, many of the top influencers in the field knew something had to be done to overhaul the nonprofit sector. Led by Dan Pallotta, whose record-breaking TED Talk on the subject has inspired leading philanthropists and changemakers, this feature-length documentary directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal exposes the dark side of philanthropy and introduces a radical new way of giving.
