6th Annual Paper & Clay

Paper & Clay is a national juried exhibition open to all BFA & MFA printmaking and ceramic students across the country. This year’s exhibition showcases 54 exceptional contemporary student works from 20 various academic institutions. This year’s juror is printmaking artist and University of Minneapolis professor Jenny Schmid.
The reception for the exhibit is on Thursday, Feb 16, from 5 – 7 PM.

CIDI Workshop - Running Secure Exams in Canvas with Proctorio

This workshop addresses how to create exams in Canvas, plus tools and methods for protecting quiz content and ensuring academic integrity when in-person proctoring isn't an option. (Includes discussion of Proctorio, question banks, time limits, question design, and more.)

USU Be Well and Extension's Empowering Financial Wellness Program present a lunch and learn on getting ready for taxes. Are you dreading the task of gathering all your documents for tax filing, but you don’t know where to start? While everyone's tax situation is different, we'll help find a starting point and a strategy to organize your documents that you can apply year after year! Being organized in preparation for tax time can not only save you time, but also money! *Presentation will be recorded. Communitas Lecture Series: Tara Talepasand

Taravat Talepasand is an artist, activist, and educator whose labor-intensive interdisciplinary painting practice questions normative cultural behaviors within contemporary power imbalances. As an Iranian-American woman, Talepasand explores the cultural taboos that reflect on gender and political authority. Her approach to figuration reflects the cross-pollination, or lack thereof, in our Western Society.
Jazz Night at Elite Hall

Join us for this annual fundraiser for two great causes: The Larry Smith Jazz Scholarship and The Elite Hall Restoration Fund. Throw yourself back to the roaring 20's and experience live music, dinner, and dancing on Utah's only spring-loaded dance floor! Dance lessons included starting at 6:00 pm. Playwright Matt Cox describes these characters as "Funny, intelligent, silly, heartwarming, a little worn and slightly ignored."
It's time for the "losers" of this magic school to rise!
Gabe Kovach: Guest Artist Horn Recital

Gabriel Kovach, born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, is active as both a chamber and orchestral musician. Mr. Kovach has been Principal Horn of the Phoenix Symphony since 2006. Previously, he has held positions as both the Principal Horn of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and the Opera Company of Philadelphia.
