Boundaries are the line between where we end and another person begins. It can be difficult to set and uphold our boundaries, and a lot of times this issue comes up in relationships. This workshop will explore mixed messaging around boundaries in society, what boundaries are and how to set them, and how to be genuinely you while in a relationship.

Logan Mountain Biking: Bunchgrass

Grab your bike and come spend a few hours pedaling one of the many fantastic mountain biking trails in the Logan area. We will meet at the OP shop and pedal up to a local trailhead to ride. No trail riding experience necessary and beginners are welcome. Participants must be in good physical condition and prepared for moderate to strenuous physical activity. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mountain bike (in working condition). If you need a bike, an OP rental is available for no charge. CPR/AED & First Aid for Professional Rescuers

Workshop/Training

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid course is to instruct those who have a duty to act (professional rescuers) in the knowledge and skills needed to respond appropriately to first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim experiencing cardiac arrest. Register at recportal.usu.edu.

Lead Climbing Clinic

This course is an introduction into lead climbing taught at the ARC Climbing Wall. You will learn proper techniques for climbing and belaying. Class size is capped at 6 people so get your spot early! Labyrinth Canyon Canoe

We are heading down south to the calm flowing waters of the Green River through Labyrinth Canyon, Wed, Oct. 12 through Sun, Oct. 16. We will load everything we need in canoes and paddle 45 miles of river winding through beautiful sandstone cliffs. Participants must be able to swim and prepared to paddle a canoe in variable springtime weather in a desert environment. The trip cost includes sales tax, food, transportation, vehicle shuttle, permit fee, canoes, tent, sleeping bag, pad, cooking equipment and student leadership. Register at recportal.usu.edu

Let Her Light Shine: Lauren McCluskey Memorial Walk

On October 22nd, 2018, University of Utah student, Lauren McCluskey, was murdered by a former intimate partner. Each October we join universities across the state in remembering her incredible life and the lives of those we've lost within the Aggie Family to domestic violence. Join us on the track of the USU Logan Fieldhouse any time between 3 and 5 pm on October 21st to honor those we've lost and learn about available resources!

Wilderness First Aid

This course is a great introduction to wilderness medicine and basic life support skills. It is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast who wants more than an urban first aid course provides. The emphasis of the class is on recognizing and treating life-threatening traumatic and medical emergencies, common wilderness injuries, bandaging and splinting, and environmental injuries. CPR is included in the curriculum.
