Aggie Heroes

Special Event | Inclusive Excellence

Aggie Heroes is aimed at hearing stories from Aggies of diverse backgrounds and identities to promote inclusion across our campus. Some stories may be inspirational; some may be deeply personal. This event is held to foster appreciation for our differences and similarities as Aggies. The theme for this years’ event is ‘Resilience’. The events that have taken place over the past two years have challenged many of us in ways we never expected. If there is one positive result, it has been witnessing the resilience individuals have within them. This year's Heroes are: Charity Maeda Van den Akker Gonca Soyer Spencer Bitner Brianna Littlecrow Mary Phan Join us in person or virtually via Zoom!

There will be a day to for recruiters and students to meet in person, and the option to meet virtually. The in-person event will occur the day before the virtual event.

Collegiate DECA Competition

Utah Collegiate DECA’s Competitive Events Program allows students to put their experience, skills, and knowledge to the test while representing their college or university. Students compete for top state honors in one of 25 different competitions. Collegiate DECA competitive events recognize student achievement, provide opportunities for traveling to conferences and networking with peers. The Utah Collegiate DECA Competitive Events Program is recognized for helping to prepare students for their professional careers. Students are judged by business and industry professionals in all Collegiate DECA competitive events.

The Aggie Engineer Essay Contest

Special Event

Utah State's Society of Women Engineers presents the Aggie Engineer Essay contest for females in 7th or 8th grade. Describe a science topic that you've learned about on your own time and how that topic is important to making the world a better place. Prizes will be given during an awards ceremony at USU's community night on February 24th. Essays may be submitted as a PDF to president.ususwe@gmail.com

Rock -n- Fossil Day

Special Event

Calling All Rockhounds! Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to the USU Department of Geosciences' annual Rock -n- Fossil Day. Admission is free. Learn about local rocks and fossils, while enjoying hands-on learning activities and presentations about ancient Lake Bonneville, earthquakes and more. Tour the USU Geology Museum and look at sections of rock under a microscope. Bring your "mystery" rock or fossil for identification by USU geologists. The USU Geology Building is located at the northeast corner of the USU Quad. Please wear a mask.
