Kayak Roll Session

Students, Faculty and Staff! Come get your kayak roll on in the HPER small pool Tuesday nights, 7-9pm. Outdoor Programs will have kayaks (with skirts and paddles) available at the pool on a first-come-first-served basis. Please be respectful if others are waiting for a boat and limit your time to less than 45 minutes. To access roll sessions, you must have student, staff, faculty, or guest access to the pool area. The general public may purchase a $3.00 pool pass for the roll session at the HPER service desk. If you have questions about pool access, contact the HPER service desk @435-797-1785. You can bring your own kayak but it must be inspected by OP staff prior to entering the pool area. Boats must be cleaned and inspected in the OP wash-down room. Boat inspections can be done during shop business hours on the day of the roll session. Dirt, debris and foreign material entering the pool from unclean boats will result in the termination of roll sessions! To access the pool with your kayak, you must enter the HPER building through the west doors near the ARC and sand volleyball courts. Parking is available on 800 E. DO NOT PARK IN THE OP CUSTOMER STALLS FOR ROLL SE

Easy Fried Rice Meal Kit
Student Activities
The purpose of selling meal kits through the Student Nutrition Access Center is to allow USU students to explore new foods, try new cooking methods, and gain insight into preparing nutritious meals. Each meal kit comes with the exact ingredients and an easy-to-follow recipe that makes 3-4 servings. Meal Kits are sold at cost so the cost of each meal kit will vary per week due to the variation of ingredient cost. We accept cards, PayPal, and Venmo. Cash will not be accepted.
Prenatal Yoga

Designed as a 6 class series, with each class building upon the last, Prenatal Yoga is focused on increasing strength and comfort during pregnancy through alignment-based yoga techniques. We will also emphasize labor preparation through movement and breath, strengthening your body and nervous system for an empowering birth experience, and teaching you some powerful tools to carry with you into the postpartum period. The 6-week program is only $10. Drop-in passes cost $5 for each class.

Alumni Backcountry Ski Tour

Alumni! Come grab some backcountry turns with us! We will venture into the Bear River backcountry to seek out snow that you can't get to on a ski lift. Learn some of the basics of backcountry travel and safety. No backcountry experience is required but you must be comfortable riding double blue to black diamond resort terrain. Participants must be prepared for strenuous hiking. Backcountry touring skis or splitboard with skins are required and available to rent for an additional $20+tax for trip participants. NO SNOWSHOES. Trip cost includes transportation, avalanche beacon, shovel, probe and student leadership. All participants must be fully vaccinated, have health insurance and abide by OP and University Policies.
American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid
Workshop/Training
The primary purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid course is to instruct those who have a duty to act (professional rescuers) in the knowledge and skills needed to respond appropriately to first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim experiencing cardiac arrest. Register at recportal.usu.edu.

Intuitive Eating Class

Come and learn about the 10 principles of Intuitive Eating! Intuitive eaters march to their inner hunger signals and eat whatever they choose in a satisfying way, without experiencing guilt or an ethical dilemma. The Intuitive Eater is an unaffected eater. Our goal is to help you create a healthy relationship with food by discarding the diet mentality and teaching you how to listen to the messages of your body. Let's bring the pleasure back to eating. Our classes will be offered from 3pm-4pm on the following dates: January 26th (Wednesday) February 11th (Friday) March 23rd (Wednesday) April 6th (Wednesday) *These classes will be taught by senior USU Dietetics students and will be supervised by a Registered Dietitian. Dr. Nafziger, a licensed psychologist and CAPS clinical coordinator, will present on the importance of mental health in an interactive presentation. He will focus on teaching students ways they can take care of themselves and their mental health in college and beyond.

Lake Powell Kayaking Trip

We are heading down south to the amazing red rock and blue waters of Lake Powell to explore some of its many side canyons in sea kayaks. We will pack our kayaks with our gear and spend two nights camping on the lake. Participants must be able to swim and be comfortable in open water. Trip cost includes sales tax, food, transportation, kayak equipment, tent, sleeping bag, pad, and student leadership.
