Utah Water Watch Tier I Online Training

Utah Water Watch (UWW) is a volunteer water quality monitoring program. Our goal is to empower Utahns to learn and share knowledge about their local watersheds and practice good stewardship. Data collected is shared in a public database and with local water managers. UWW is a free program and is open to volunteers of all ages. Volunteering is a fun way to learn more about water quality and help protect lakes and streams in Utah! There are 3 steps to become a volunteer: 1. Fill out the volunteer registration form. You only need to fill out this form once. 2. Attend a workshop and become certified (click the orange "Reserve a spot" button to register for this specific training). 3. Work with the coordinator to choose a site to monitor. For more information, please visit our Utah Water Watch website. Once you register for this event and fill out the volunteer registration form, you are good to go! You will receive an email from Utah Water Watch a few days before the event with a link to join on the date of your training. Pressbooks is an open e-book authoring and publishing platform available to USU teachers and students. It integrates with Canvas and allows teachers and students to discover, use, and adapt existing open educational content or author and publish new content. Learn how to use and create Pressbooks content for your course.
CIDI Workshop - Exam Security in Canvas Without Proctorio

If you want to run a secure exam without using Proctorio, your options are to use a testing center or design your exam in a way that removes the benefits of trying to cheat. This can take some extra work and creativity, but often results in better exams overall. We'll discuss question design, timing, question banks, and the way the USU testing center network works.

Canvas allows a teacher to create a "blueprint" course, where updates can be made just once and then synced to several associated courses. This can greatly ease the management of multiple versions of the same class. This workshop shows how to use and effectively manage blueprint courses.

We will be outside at the creek. Dress for the weather in clothes that can get a little dirty.
