NEHMA is partnering with USU’s Science iSEE program to explore the science of re in ecosystems, the permanent changes to matter from re, and the artistic beauty of active re lines and psychic burn zones from photography. Teaching Artist John Westenskow will lead participants in creating a unique clay project to re up their artistic skills! Evenings for Educators is a free program dedicated to the professional development of elementary and secondary teachers across the state. Each Evening for Educators o ers a unique theme and agenda that connects art to core standards. Experience keynote speakers, hands-on workshops, networking opportunities, light refreshments, and free educational materials! Teachers who attend can earn three USBE relicensure points per evening or a USBE credit for completing five evenings and a field test.

Front & Center Webinar "Appreciative Education at Utah State University"

University Advising and Blanding’s NASNTI program partnered to write a grant for Appreciative Education training for student-facing personnel at USU. Over 40 USU personnel participated in the Appreciative Advising Institute through the grant in 2023. Panelists will share why they incorporate the Appreciative Education framework in their programs and their experiences utilizing the framework.

Trans Allies on Campus Training

Trans/Nonbinary Allies on Campus aims to increase awareness and understanding of our trans/nonbinary community and further understand specific trans/nonbinary issues while training participants to stand with, and advocate for trans/nonbinary individuals. Participants will gain a basic understanding of sex, sexuality, and gender and how these concepts perpetuate microaggressions, discrimination policies, and daily biases. Prepare to dispel some common myths, laugh, and leave with the understanding that there is much work to be done in our community and you are part of the solution.
