Based on 11 interviews that Prof. Sebastiaan Faber of Oberlin College conducted with individuals involved in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and the Francisco Franco dictatorship (1939-1975), Faber's work illustrates the enormous challenges as well as the enormous variety that comes with understanding history vis a vis "memory entrepreneurs."
