Wuda Ogwa Planting Days

Special Event

Join the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation for a volunteer day, planting willows, cottonwoods, dogwoods, currants, and other native plants at the Wuda Ogwa restoration site.

Please bring a refillable water bottle, work gloves, shovels, and hand augers if you have them. Water and snacks will be provided.

Rapid Fire Research

Four Minutes • Four Slides • Your Big Idea

Participants will have four minutes and four slides to present their BIG IDEA. USU undergraduates and graduate students from all majors are invited to join this fun, fast-paced activity in front of an enthusiastic and supportive audience. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three participants, selected by faculty judges. Refreshments will be served, and everyone is welcome! Want to apply to participate in Rapid Fire Research? Visit usu.edu/science/events/rapid-research and complete the online application by midnight, Friday, Nov. 1, 2024.

Logger's Ball

Special Event

Join the Quinney College of Natural Resource for our 82nd annual Logger's Ball! We have food, dessert, live music, dancing, activities, and a prize drawing. Come mingle and socialize with students, faculty, and community members. Tickets are $15 for students and $20 for nonstudents. USU Physics November Demo Show

Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to the 2024 USU Physics November Demo Show. This year's theme is "The Physics of Phase Transitions." Admission is free! USU physicist James Coburn will offer exciting demonstrations of freezing, boiling, melting and condensing. Demos will include making liquid air, making solid air, crushing a 55-gallon drum and making an ice bomb! USU's Department of Physics is pleased to offer this super-fun learning event to the Cache Valley community.
