Moab Paddling & Camping

Recreation

We are heading down south near Moab to spend the weekend playing on the Colorado River in the Moab area. We will enjoy our nights camped in beautiful red rock country while we paddle the rapids of the Moab Daily section. Participants must be able to swim and prepared for fun on the water. Trip cost includes: food, transportation, campground fees, river equipment, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad and student leadership.

Introduction to Top Rope Belay

Climbing clinics are back for the fall semester with our first one on September 30th from 6-8:30pm at the ARC Climbing Wall. We'll go over everything you need to know and give you an introduction to top rope belaying. Register at the climbing wall, $10 clinic fee.

Women's Intro to Top Rope Belay

Women's climb night just got special as we'll be hosting a women's introduction to top rope belaying. Hosted during women's climb night (7:30pm-10pm) at the climbing wall, we'll go over everything you need to know as an introduction to top rope belaying. It's a safe space for women to learn the basics, ask questions, and climb with others. Register at the climbing wall, $10 clinic fee

Free Cooking Demo

Cooking Demo Schedule: Topics TBD. Cooking Demos will start promptly at 4pm and will run for approximately 1 hour. These demos are taught by senior USU Nutrition & Dietetics students. Come get some delicious food samples and learn how to cook new foods/dishes!

We will spend our days exploring and climbing some of the amazing routes in the City and our evenings around the camp fire. No climbing experience is necessary for this trip and all abilities are welcome. Participants must be prepared for overnight camping, moderate hiking and heights. The trip cost includes transportation, food, camping fees, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tent, group climbing equipment and shoes, helmet and harness. Space is limited, so register today!
