Full Moon Snowshoe Hike

Recreation

Come spend an evening snowshoeing under the glow of a full moon. Be sure to dress warmly for the cooler temperatures after dark. No snowshoeing experience is necessary, beginners are most welcome. Participants must be prepared for moderate physical activity in a winter environment. Trip cost includes snowshoe rental and transportation.

Life of LatinX Leader

Students will have the opportunity to hear from Dr. Silvana Martini. A current professor here at USU in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Sciences and Editor-in-Chief to the Journal of the American Oil Chemists. In this informal presentation she will describe the journey that brought her to Logan, UT. She will share her story, including challenges and successes that she has encountered along the way.

Food Security Program Volunteer Info Session

Are you interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities with the Student Nutrition Access Center, Food Recovery Network, Cache Community Gleaning, and other similar initiatives? Are you interested in reducing the amount of wasted food, learning more about food security, food justice, and food sovereignty?

Join us for this info session, where you'll learn how to sign up for volunteer opportunities, initiatives, and meet others who have similar interests.

Powder Mountain Skiing/Snowboarding Day

Recreation

Come join us for a day of skiing/snowboarding at Powder Mountain resort. We will meet up at Outdoor Programs, load up our ski/snowboard gear, and head to Powder Mountain to burn some turns. All riding abilities are welcome as there is terrain for everyone. Trip cost includes transportation and Powder Mountain lift ticket. Discounted ski rentals are available for an additional $10. This trip does not include ski or snowboard instruction. If you would like a lesson, you can contact Powder Mountain ski school.

American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid course is to instruct those who have a duty to act (professional rescuers) in the knowledge and skills needed to respond appropriately to first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim experiencing cardiac arrest. Register at recportal.usu.edu.
