Wild Women City of Rocks Climbing & Camping

Recreation

We are heading north across the border to the City of Rocks National Preserve to climb and camp. We will spend our days exploring and climbing some of the amazing routes in the City and our evenings around the camp fire. No climbing experience is necessary for this trip and all abilities are welcome. Participants must be prepared for overnight camping, moderate hiking and heights. The trip cost includes transportation, food, camping fees, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tent, group climbing equipment and shoes, helmet and harness. Space is limited, so register today!

Panel Discussion/Presentation

Three non-profit leaders will discuss active citizenship, non-profit leadership, and how to get involved. Following the panel, Center for Community Engagement staff will share the Pathways of Public Service which gives students a range of possibilities by which they can contribute to the public good.

USU Farmers Market

Fair/Festival

The USU Farmers Market was launched in 2017 with support from the Student Sustainability grant program. The fall market features live local musicians in addition to local businesses and student organizations. One of the student benefits is the Double Your Bucks program which allows students to double their money in dollar increments up to $6.00. The tokens may only be used in the Market towards produce and select food items.

Lead Climbing Clinic

Lead climbing clinics are back for the fall semester! Learn everything from tying knots to climbing routes with our lead climbing clinic on October 9th from 4-8pm at the ARC climbing wall. Register at the wall, $25 clinic fee.

New to mountain biking? Want to learn riding techniques and improve your skills? Come hit the trail with us as we spend a day riding a beginner-friendly trail while working on body position, bike function and other fundamental mountain biking techniques. Trip cost includes a bike rental (pending availability), transportation and student leadership.

Intramural pickleball tournament! Saturday, October 12 in the MAC and HPER 201/209 starting at noon. Free with an IM membership or just $15 with a single sports pass. Registration is done using the Fusion Play app. Men's, women's, and co-ed divisions.

Legacy of Val Day of Service: Fruit Picking with USU Harvest Rescue

Special Event

Join us as we honor the legacy of Val R Christensen and fight food waste and food insecurity! USU Harvest Rescue coordinates volunteers to pick local produce that might go to waste, then donates it to various food pantries, including the SNAC Pantry.
