Bring your crafty kids to Swaner's Craft Sunday! Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter will offer a nature-themed craft every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All ages are welcome!
Little Naturalist
Lecture/Readings | Home, Family, and Food
Little Naturalist is the perfect program for 3 to 5 year olds who are curious about animals, their habitats, the environment, and exploring nature. Join us twice a month, October through May, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to read a specially selected nature-themed book, explore the natural world, and complete a craft. Some favorites include snowshoeing on the Preserve, interacting with live reptiles and amphibians, upcycling old materials into holiday decorations, and much more!
Cost is $2.00 per youth participant, or buy a $15.00 punch card good f or 10 programs.
Solutions to Plastic Pollution

Looking for ways to reduce the plastic waste in your life? Join the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter and Recycle Utah for our Solutions to Plastic Pollution Workshop!
During this workshop we will discuss plastic alternatives, learn some DIY, cost effective, solutions, and talk about why reducing plastic is good for everyone.
Participants will have the chance to enter into an opportunity drawing full of all kinds of awesome plastic alternatives like _finalswab, Stasher Bags, Bee's Wrap, Simple Ecology Produce Bags, ZeroWaste Floss, and so much more!
This event is free to the public, tickets for the opportunity drawing can be purchased at the event. Participants will get a 15% discount on plastic alternatives in the Swaner Gift Shop.

Kim's Cold-Blooded Creatures at Swaner

Join us for a live animal presentation by Kims cold-Blooded Creatures. Meet and learn about some of the worlds coolest and most fascinating reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.
This is a family friendly, one hour program. Please plan to arrive BEFORE 11 am if you would like to participate in the whole program.
