CIDI Workshop - Editing 2+ Courses in one Place with Canvas Blueprints

Canvas allows a teacher to create a "blueprint" course, where updates can be made just once and then synced to several associated courses. Sweaters received from students will be donated to CAPSA for victims of domestic abuse. Creating Equitable Classroom Policies

Policies on aspects of class such as attendance, tardiness, and late work are so ubiquitous as to be unnoticed and unchallenged. These policies, however, can reinforce the "hidden curriculum" that privileges some students over others and re-entrenches norms and values that an anti-racist classroom should try to critique. This sparkshop will discuss what the "hidden curriculum" is, how to evaluate your course policies for normative ideologies and values, and lead you through workshopping your policies to make your classroom more inclusive, equitable, and antiracist.

Special Event
Activity for kids: Come learn about a core building block of aerodynamics – airfoils! Airfoils are the tear-drop shape you see if you were to cut through a wing and look at the shape of the cross-section. You’ll learn about how airflow moves over an airfoil to produce lift and drag, what stall means, and other design and analysis challenges. You’ll be introduced to state-of-the-art software that is used in industry for aerodynamic analysis, and participate in a hands-on activity to make your own airfoil to take home.
