Ceremony/Awards/Celebration
It’s time to nominate your fellow QCNR community members for our annual awards! The QCNR community recognizes excellence in many different areas of our academic and work lives, including teaching and learning, mentoring and research, service and support. Thank you for taking the time to identify students, faculty, and staff deserving of extra recognition this year. Any student, staff, or faculty member affiliated with QCNR may submit one set of nominations. All nominations require a brief statement of support. Please refer to the list of awards here. The Bear Lake Needs Assessment Documentation & Visualization Project, led by assistant professor Jared Ragland and USU photography students, captures the intersection of Bear Lake's natural ecology and human use through documentary photography. This collaborative project showcases research-driven imagery on key topics such as agriculture, water management, and development, while highlighting the vital work of USU researchers and local community partnerships. The exhibition will be featured at the Tippets and Eccles Gallery and in USU’s Special Collections and Archives. This work was created in partnership with USU’s Institute for Land, Water, and Air and funded by a Bear Lake Needs Assessment grant administered by Utah Forestry, Fire, and State Lands.

Volunteer tutors for Athletics United kids

Colleigate 4-H Crystal Hot Springs Food Drive

Collegiate 4-H invites you to start Thanksgiving Break off with a relaxing soak at Crystal Hot Springs! Not only is this a super fun event to bring dates and friends to, but it doubles as a food drive for the local Cache Valley Food Pantry. Anyone is welcome regardless of background or experience, and topics range from discussions about specific scientific processes to broader questions on how ecology interfaces with society and politics.
