Entrepreneur Leadership Series - Mel Torrie

Panel Discussion/Presentation

Mel Torrie, Founder, President, and CEO of Autonomous Solutions Inc.
Mr. Torrie grew up on a farm in Alberta Canada and earned a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University. Mr. Torrie then taught at Utah State University and worked on multiple NASA Space Shuttle payloads. 20 years ago he spun out the university’s robotics lab to make driverless vehicles a reality in industries like agriculture, mining, construction, security, material handling, and automotive. Other businesses he’s started with his wife include a restaurant, school of rock/jazz, and a non-profit foundation for disadvantaged youth in Central America. Mel has been an invited keynote speaker and trainer on the topics of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Robotics, and STEM education in countries like Egypt, Russia, China, Japan, Croatia, Germany, South Africa, and Australia

David C. Roskelley Private Forum with the Covey Leadership Fellows

This is a private leadership forum with David C. Roskelley for only Covey Leadership Fellows (CLF). CLF members have a unique opportunity to sit down with David in a private forum to learn about how to elevate your leadership and participate in a special Q/A session. Join CLF.

David Roskelley is an avid mountain climber. He has climbed the "7 Summits," or the highest mountain on each continent, and the "7 Volcanic Summits," the highest volcano on each continent. David's next goal is to be the first person to climb the highest mountain on the moon.

David Roskelley is also the founding partner at engineering-consulting service R&R Environmental, Inc. The firm serves clients throughout the United States and Canada. David has a Masters degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Utah/Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (RMCOEH) and currently teaches as an adjunct faculty member. David is currently serving as Past Chair of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) and has previously served on the AIHA Board as a Director.

An event with a presentation by Dr Robert Davies and Dr Patrick Belmont (along with a statement from the Provost) on the state of climate issues, and real world solutions. There will additionally be climate/sustainability groups there to give people ideas for different ways they can help impact the climate.
