URS Webinar - Finding Freedom through Financial Wellness

How can you reduce your financial stress and gain financial freedom? There are three primary areas that cause finical stress: Spending, Debts, Savings. Come join URS and Be Well for a financial wellness presentation that will help to alleviate financial stress by: creating a workable spending plan, developing a debt management strategy, and build a plan to save for financial emergencies. Attendance and participation in this event qualify as a required activity for the Be Well Rewards program. This will be held in person in LIB 154 and virtually via Zoom.

The Office of Equity’s “Effective Workplace Relationships” presentation is an interactive program that supports faculty and staff in developing and maintaining effective workplace relationships. Specific emphasis is placed on how boundary setting, conflict management, and effective workplace relationships can minimize sexual misconduct and discriminatory behaviors. Intuitive Eating Class

Come and learn about the 10 principles of Intuitive Eating! Intuitive eaters march to their inner hunger signals and eat whatever they choose in a satisfying way, without experiencing guilt or an ethical dilemma. The Intuitive Eater is an unaffected eater. Our goal is to help you create a healthy relationship with food by discarding the diet mentality and teaching you how to listen to the messages of your body. Let's bring the pleasure back to eating. Our classes will be offered from 3pm-4pm on the following dates: January 26th (Wednesday) February 11th (Friday) March 23rd (Wednesday) April 6th (Wednesday) *These classes will be taught by senior USU Dietetics students and will be supervised by a Registered Dietitian. Upstanding Training

“Upstanding” is a bystander intervention approach for the prevention of a variety of problematic situations. The purpose of the Upstanding training is to prepare members of the USU campus community with the skills and knowledge needed to safely and effectively intervene when they sense a threat or potential harm to another. Threats could include sexual misconduct, drug and alcohol misuse, bias and discrimination, depression or suicidal thoughts, and interpersonal violence. Upstanding is an interactive, audience-led program that incorporates large and small group discussions, videos, and practice scenarios. The Upstanding program will empower participants to become upstanders by teaching them about bystander intervention practices and campus and community support resources. Lunch & Learn: Aetna - Mindfulness

You’ve probably heard the clichés – “Stop and smell the roses” or “Be in the moment.” But it’s easier said than done. Practicing the skill of mindfulness can help you reduce stress, feel better and improve your life. In this workshop, participants will learn about the benefits of mindfulness, understand the science behind mindfulness, find tips to choose a mindfulness program, and discover how to use mindfulness in day-to-day life.
