Springboard to Action! Rethinking Student Assessment

The "Springboard to Action!" series events are yearly workshops sponsored by the Office of the Provost and Empowering Teaching Excellence. These workshops are designed for USU instructors to dedicate the day and implement a practice in their teaching that they had been planning on doing. Each Springboard workshop has a different theme. This year's "Springboard to Action Series" is rethinking student assessment with a focus on implementing ungrading practices into course construction. Participants will be presented with several short ignition ideas by facilitators, participate in breakouts, implement their own practices, and receive feedback from their group and designated facilitator.

Aetna Webinar - Looking Within: Finding Your Inner Leader

Aetna, USU’s Employee Assistance Provider, presents a Resources for Living webinar. What does it mean to be a leader? Old fashioned concepts of leadership focus on management and promotions. But those definitions leave out the most important part of leadership, Inspiring others. This webinar will discuss: * The definition of leadership * The qualities of a leader * How to look within for your unique leadership traits *Presentation recording will be available on the EAP site. Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid Course

Workshop/Training

American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning course helps participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. You will learn some core skills to treat: - Breathing and cardiac emergencies (CPR, AED, choking) - Injuries (broken bones, burns, cuts, stings) - Sudden illnesses (heat/cold emergencies, allergic reactions)

CPR/AED & First Aid for Professional Rescuers

Workshop/Training

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid course is to instruct those who have a duty to act (professional rescuers) in the knowledge and skills needed to respond appropriately to first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim experiencing cardiac arrest. Register at recportal.usu.edu.
